Artist's Comments

Edit: Oops...I submitted this twice somehow. ^^; Anyways. Sorry.

Practice piece for painting white horses, since there are two mostly-white horses coming up soon. I'm really happy with the outcome...the original horse is a bit lighter, but with the cloudiness I thought it should be a bit darker and more gray to fit the color scheme. And I decided ice would be better than snow, so I didn't try making hoofprints like I intended. Anyways. Enjoy.

A nice, big boned cremello. I likes! :aww:
I think the mane and tail are the best because they're nicely contrasted between the shadows and the highlights really well. :) Good job! :D

Thank you so much hun. :glomp:
I didn't do the lineart...I fail at it. >< All I did was change the color to match the horse better. *SheWolff did the original lineart, she's fantastic at it. :)

Yes it is. :faint: That's why I did a practice piece before starting on art for other people (didn't want to have gray paints, lol). If you're having trouble, maybe try starting with a pinkish gray-white then shading with gray-blues and a little bit of really pale yellow. I dunno if that will help or not, but that's what I did on this one.
Good luck!
